Opening night for the program. Meet the program directors with free food and share your concerns about housing and finances with special guests CREA STL (Civil Rights Enforcement Agency of St. Louis).
The second week we'll be discussing the difference of credit unions and banks featuring presentations from both the Treasurer's Office and banks and credit unions from the community.
Guests learn about saving money, budgeting, and financial investments with guest financial advisors .
Week four Reginald Garth will lead the discussion about credit repair and credit
Week five guests will be taught techniques for paying the bills and how to make ends meet with special guests from the community from mutual aid projects.
In the course's final week, guests will learn about getting housed. Here guests will learn about obstacles for trans people when applying to rent or buy a house. Special guests will include local realtors and property managers to familiarize folks with those in the field.
Join us for a series of workshops over 6 weeks to provide our local trans community with the proper tools to be informed renters/homeowners
During the 6 week course individuals will receive financial compensation for each course completed. Courses will be provided by The City of St. Louis' Treasurere's office (1200 Market St # 220, St. Louis, MO 63103)
Courses will start at 5pm and end at 6pm
